I hope you all are having a great week. Here in Oklahoma we had a beautiful week, but it has turned cold and extra windy. The weather here is so unpredictable. I have grown to appreciate the ever-changing forecasts, and I am loving that we are getting close to Valentine's Day. Behind Christmas it is definitely my favorite holiday. I know it's so much hype, but to quote T-Swift from the movie "Valentine's Day", "I love hype!" I really can't get enough all the reds and pinks and hearts and flowers. What about you all? Do you love Valentine's Day? If so, what's your favorite part?
Our challenge this week at Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog is perfect for the "love" lover like myself :) It is our "Love is in the Air" challenge where you need to make a project depicting LOVE (Valentine's Day, Anniversary, Wedding, etc.) We have three sponsors for our challenge with three separate prizes. The first is our very own fabulous Leslie Turner with a Surprise Grab Bag as the Prize. The second sponsor Stamps on Fire with a prize of 20% off their website. Our third wonderful sponsor is Your Next Stamp with a prize of a $20 gift certificate. Be sure to enter your awesome love themed project, and let me know if you do :)
For my project, I used the small Heart Swirl stamp from Stamps on Fire. I was very happy with this adorable little stamp. It was such a crisp image and I love the size. I really had a blast creating this card, I love heat embossing and this color scheme. I hope you like it :)

The papers are all from a Paper Studio chalkboard paper pack. I heat embossed the heart swirl with Versamark and a bright white embossing powder from Recollections. I used a stamp from Simon Says Stamp, To Thine Own Shelf, for the sentiment, also heat embossed it with pink embossing powder.
The ribbon is from the floral section at Wal-Mart. I am in love with this paper pack and color combination. You will probably be seeing me them both quite a bit.
I hope you all like my creation, and I can't wait to see what you can make. We'd love to see you over at LTSCB! Let me know what you all think :) Hope you all have a great week! Thanks for reading!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic card! The heart is adorable and I love that you embossed it. The chalkboard paper is a great addition. I love using ribbon from Walmart (because it's cheaper to buy LOL)
