To all of you here in the states, Happy Presidents Day :) Well, same to all of you not in the US, but I bet it doesn't mean as much. I trust you all had a good Valentine's Day? I stayed home made cards, and spoke to some good friends on the phone. It was a pretty awesome day. I liked being able to avoid the crowds. What about you all? What did you do to celebrate? if anything.
This week at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog we are having an Anything Goes challenge. I truly love to see the different style that each person has. We have 3 sponsors this week also. The Stamping Boutique with a prize of 2 images, possibly a 3rd if the winner used a TSB stamp on their project. The next sponsor is Lacy Sunshine Stamps with a prize of 3 images of the winner's choosing. Our 3rd sponsor is Fred, She Said Designs with a $10 gift certificate to the winner. These are some fantastic sponsors this week, and tons of prizes :)
I have to admit when I found the image I used in this weeks card, it was completely love at first sight! My funny little lady is from Lacy Sunshine Stamps, she is Eleanor Circus Clown. I knew immediately that I wanted here to be so bright and cheerful, but once I started coloring, she took a different turn. I am quite pleased when projects sort of take over and become something other than what I had originally intended.
I used some Simple Stories patterned papers and some Colorbok cardstock. I printed the sentiment on my computer and colored beautiful Eleanor with my Spectrum Noir markers.
The balloon dies are from Elizabeth Crafts. I also used some Glossy Accents on the balloons in the image.
This card definitely took on a life of it's own. I'm very happy with it though. I'm considering sending my cards to my readers, if you'd be interested send me a comment or an e-mail. I have so many that I don't give away. Don't forget to head on over to LTSCB for our Anything goes challenge. I'd love to see your projects. Thanks for reading y'all! Have a great week.
